Caroline Perkins
Caroline trained as a Chartered Accountant in London with Coopers & Lybrand. In 1989 she moved from her role as Head of their Exam Support Group to lecture Tax and Financial Reporting at BPP.
While employed by BPP she taught at all levels of the ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA exams on both fulltime and link courses and developed BPP's approach to the ICAEW's first multidisciplinary case study exam.
Caroline excels at making complex areas seem simple both in the classroom and on paper. She is able to focus student attention on what they really need to succeed in their exams; namely core technical knowledge and sound exam technique.
In 1997 she transferred to become Managing Director of BPP Taxation Courses responsible for all ATT and CTA courses; this was a role that she combined with Managing Director of BPP Professional Development where she was responsible for the smooth running of their CPE courses around the country.
In 2002, with the back office established and her children starting school, Caroline wanted more flexible employment and so returned to tax training but this time on a freelance basis.
She now does a variety of work for a number of organisations and increasingly finds that her time is spent working on on-line training solutions both pre and post qualification.
